Committee Nominations

If you would like to self-nominate for the committee then please complete the Additional information section when RSVP'ing to expression interest. Please note when nominating that you are accepting that you will be required to provide personal information as required to operate bank accounts, and update incorporation details with the ACT gov. This includes but not limited to your address and banking details.

Our committee structure

Our committee consists of office-bearers of the association; and up to 5 ordinary committee members.

The office-bearers of the association are:

  • the president; and
  • the vice-resident; and
  • the treasurer; and
  • the secretary

Each member of the committee holds office, subject to these rules, until the conclusion of the annual general meeting following the date of the member’s election but is eligible for re-election.

A person may be a committee member if the person is an individual who has reached 18 years of age, resides in Canberra or in its surrounding region.

A person may hold up two positions on the committee, however a person is not eligible to simultaneously hold the positions of secretary and treasurer as mentioned in section 12(5) in the constitution.
